In my opinion, I will never assign a mandatory homework that requires a student to use internet. Many student don't have acces to internet because of the cost. The montly chargen for internet service is not reasonable for many in this economy.Copy, cheating, lazyness, and student excuses. Students may use internet as an excuse why their work is not done.
Internet has become a great tool in today world. It is an essential instrument to learning. Internet provides students with much more informations then ever before. Nowadays, with a simple click, students can find the latest news, the latest technology, and latest discoveries of any subject for their homework assignment. This very important source of knowledge has contributed to empowering students in the 21st century. We all recognize the importance of the interent as one of the most important source of information; however, student should not be complaisant and just use the internet just to plagiariaze, instead they have to use it to enhance their critical thinking and it should not be considered as the only source of information for them. Personnaly, I am not against a mandatory homework assignment that requires the use of the internet. However, for many It could not always be the first choice. They think that Students may find many excuses why their work is not done." I don't have access to internet at home because of the cost,the montly charge for internet services is not reasonable for my parents in this economy, I did not find nobody to drop me at a local library to get my work done and so on. Another, some teachers think that it can encourage cheating, lazyness. Some students don't take time to think and having their own input, and some informations posted on the internet are not from scientific source.
